The organisation for out-of-school childcare has also partnered with supermarket giant Sainsbury's to launch research into children and young people's eating habits. Results from the research project, which will survey the eating habits of 2,000 play workers, parents and children at Kids' Clubs Network clubs across the UK, will be published later this year.
The research will support the network's aim to become a leading player in childcare strategy development. This is backed by the launch of a recruitment drive for development directors and consultants, who will expand the network's operations into development and consultancy roles.
Anne Longfield, chief executive, said: "We are looking to work closely with local authorities to support them in increasing out-of-school provision for teenagers.
