Project: Osiris Project
Funding: £150,000 over a three-year period
Aim: To create opportunities away from crime for young people in Camden and Merton
A personal and social development programme has been launched for young people living in the London boroughs of Camden and Merton.
The Osiris Project, backed by housing association L&Q, features intensive support for young people in the boroughs in a bid to offer them an alternative route to crime. Brathay Hall Trust, the charity selected to run the programme, will offer a course of support and self-esteem building through group work sessions, residential courses and leadership programmes.
The charity already has a track record in youth development, having been part of the design and delivery of the award-winning X-it programme for gang members in Lambeth.
