Claiming to be using "method journalism", Kate Spicer and Louise Burke'sdocumentary Superskinny Me: The Race to Size Double Zero reveals theirjourney to drop five dress sizes in five weeks to reach size doublezero. This creates an even tinier dress size than size zero, puttingpressure on anorexics to race to size double zero themselves.
It might seem that journalists are doing their bit to raise awareness ofthe dangers of low body mass indexes and weight loss. And although tothe ordinary, healthy viewer these documentaries raise important healthissues and awareness, they have a different effect on anorexics andextreme dieters.
