So I went to Brussels to represent Save The Children Wales by deliveringa workshop on youth participation to people who work for the EU.
Organisations make decisions about schools, health and transport withouteven thinking about asking the people it might affect beforehand.
This is an extremely inefficient and undesirable state of affairs but, unfortunately, it is our reality.
The point of us setting up this workshop is to try to improve things andget the voices of the younger generation heard on a much larger scale toimprove services and facilities. It is also to affect policy making inorganisations such as the EU.
It is sad to know that even an organisation with so much resource andauthority usually doesn't do this essential consultation in its work andstruggles to even grasp it is morally and economically the best thing todo.
