Opinion: If I were in charge of Building Schools for the Future -Jess Lobo, 15, Staffordshire

1 min read
If I was in charge of Building Schools for the Future I wouldn't have a team of highly trained professionals running it, but I'd have a team of students because it is a school being built for the use of students - not for the use of adults.

Obviously there would be architects and MPs involved, but the ideaswould come from us students. After all, they say that we are at the agewith the most imagination - other than experience what fresh ideas arethe adults coming up with?

You can't deny them, they're doing a great job, but up until April theydidn't have any student input on the matter.

If I was in charge of Building Schools for the Future I would certainlymake sure that students choose.

It is schools that we benefit from, and so the schools should benefitfrom us - from our ideas. We know what we want, and believe it or not wedo have logical thinkers among us.
