These were some of the recommendations voiced by 20 young people who hadtheir say on drug services at an event organised by NCB on 18February.
The event, funded by the National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse,was part of NCB's Young People Participating in Policy project whichencourages young people to express their views on health improvementpolicies.
The young people came from Harborne Youth Group in Birmingham, Hideawayand Whiz youth projects in Manchester and Surrey Young People's Service,part of In-volve. Prior to the meeting they carried out backgroundresearch into local services and presented their findings in differentways, including video and role plays.
Policy makers from the Department for Education and Skills and theNational Treatment Agency attended the event to hear the young people'sviews, which will inform the agency's Treatment EffectivenessStrategy.
