The forum, which includes NCB, Children's Rights Alliance for England, the Office of the Children's Commissioner for England, British Youth Council and Unicef, shows the wider benefits that participation can bring to society as a whole.
As part of the programme of work, NCB is delighted to announce the launch of An Equal Place at the Table for Children and Young People, the first in a package of resources and research that will be released over the summer. The resource is a strategic vision of national participation, making the case for involving children and young people in decisionmaking and listening to what they have to say. Barbara Hearn, deputy chief executive, NCB, said: "Having a voice in things that matter to you, knowing that your voice is respected and that it has an impact, and respecting others' voices, form the bedrock on which our nation is built."
