Children in Wales is to hold a joint conference with the Family Information Service Wales in Builth Wells on 23 October 2008. The conference, entitled Getting it Right for Families?, will take place during annual Parents' Week.
The aim of the conference is to bring together policymakers and professionals to review policy and best practice regarding family support in Wales. Speakers include Jane Hutt, assembly minister for children, education, lifelong learning and skills; Keith Towler, children's commissioner for Wales; and Toni Schiavone, executive director of Basic Skills Cymru.
