NCB Now: Member focus - Research in Practice - Our best practicePrompts

This week, as well as celebrating the organisation's tenth birthday and director Celia Atherton's New Year's OBE, Research in Practice launches Prompts, a responsive service to be published three times a year on the Research in Practice web site.

Each prompt will draw together research evidence, policy documents andexamples of excellent practice on a selected topic. The material ispresented as a series of sections and includes downloadable documentsand links to useful resources.

Prompts provide a means to respond quickly to our partner agencies'needs for data on emerging issues and to inform local policy andstrategy development.

Three times a year we will request suggestions from second-tier officersin our partner agencies for topics that address: the Every Child Mattersagenda, multi-agency working issues, and priority operationalissues.

Prompts aim to provide a thorough and user-friendly mapping of keyliterature and resources on the topic under investigation produced to atight deadline.
