Policy, Evidence and Practice brings together key quality improvement tools, including National Quality Improvement Network Principles, Early Years Quality Improvement Support Programme, Centre for Excellence and Outcomes, and Outcomes Based Accountability.
As a result, the course provides an opportunity to review and focus on the most effective methodology for sustainable quality improvement. It has been developed in response to increased pressure on Early Years Foundation Stage profile results, and the economic strain on settings and local authorities.
Dwynwen Stepien, director of ECU, says: "The course has been developed in response to the drive to improve outcomes for young children, in particular to close the gap for the most vulnerable, and to build on the success of the early years sector in making a difference to children's lives."
