The two-day course was developed with funding from the Sure Start Unit at DfES. It follows the launch of the Inclusion Pilots Good Practice Guide on 2 April, which highlighted the lack of accessible basic training in equality issues for early years.
The course was piloted in West Sussex and the London Borough of Brent where practitioners heard course developer Mary Dickins introduce race, gender and disability issues.
Following evaluation, the course will be offered as part of NCB's on-going training programme.
