NCB Now: NCB offers training for excellence

1 min read
NCB Training Unit has been awarded the status of an approved centre for the qualification awarding body City & Guilds, and can now offer NCB learners nationally recognised qualifications, such as NCB's Early Childhood Unit-developed award Work with Parents at Levels 2 and 3.

The unit also offers consultancy services around course development and accreditation, and can support organisations to develop new training and map learning outcomes to existing national standards. It also offers training administration and management services for partner organisations, from booking venues and trainers to recruiting participants.

Many NCB training courses are free, including a range of Participation Works workshops, which will continue to be free of charge to third sector organisations until March 2010. The Voluntary Sector Support programme will also run a series of free one-day training courses early in the New Year to help children's organisations develop tenders for commissioning health services.
