There are more than 60,000 young people under the age of 25 living in supported housing in England. The conference, which took place at NCB, looked at how to meet the needs of this vulnerable group.
"Ours is the first national development project of its kind and its findings, gathered from across the country, echo the same message - that meeting the health needs of these young people is essential if they are to overcome exclusion and move forward with their lives," said Butcher.
"Today's conference enabled us to highlight examples of positive practice in providing holistic and responsive services," she added.
Other speakers at the event included Jackie Kelly, of Ekaya Housing Association, who talked about working with young women from Black and minority ethnic community groups.
