NCB Now: Conference looks at Bill's implications

Key sector figures discussed the implications of the Children Bill for the delivery of services for children at a conference on 15 July in London.

Organised by the Children's Inter Agency group of leading public sector and voluntary organisations, the event offered examples of how plans set out in the Bill can help serve children and young people in a more effective way.

Children's minister Margaret Hodge set out how the agenda for joining up children's services will be taken forward.

NCB chief executive Paul Ennals chaired a discussion on the sector's perspectives on the Bill, during which Erica De'Ath, chief executive of NCVCCO, talked about the role of the voluntary sector.
