NCB Now: Ennals speaks at NUT conference

NCB chief executive Paul Ennals spoke about what the Children Bill might mean for teachers at the National Union of Teachers Education Conference in Lincolnshire on 3 July.

In his presentation he looked at key themes arising from the Bill and Green Paper, including earlier intervention, better information sharing and extended schools, and discussed potential implications for the teaching profession.

He also questioned how the bill will change the role of headteachers and what it will mean for the standards agenda.

The event, which took the theme Educating the Whole Child, attracted a range of union members and teaching staff.
