NCB Now: Early childhood conference success

NCB's biennial early childhood conference in partnership with Cache and NES Arnold was held on the 6 and 7 July.

More than 200 delegates came to hear the conference's keynote address byBeverley Hughes, minister for children, young people and families, inNottingham.

This year's programme focused on themes central to early childhoodpractice and policy. Implications for the sector and what they will meanin practice were discussed.

During the mid conference gala dinner delegates were entertained byBlack Voices, an acapella group that sang songs about mothers andchildren.

One delegate said: "The event was a fantastic opportunity to learn aboutsector issues."
