The conference, organised by NCB and Liverpool-based social care charity PSS, will highlight how active participation and citizenship initiatives can support children and young people to develop learning and life skills.
Young NCB member Graham Duffy will co-chair one of the event's plenary sessions with Gill Frances, NCB's director of children's development.
"Children and young people's involvement in areas which affect them has increased significantly in recent years," said Gill Frances. "To ensure that their involvement has a positive impact it is essential that both young people and those working with them develop the necessary support and skills."
The conference will also provide an opportunity to hear what other countries are doing for their young citizens.
