NCB Now: Anti-Bullying Alliance

- The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) was established by the National Children's Bureau and NSPCC in 2002

- This is the fifth Anti-Bullying Week organised by the alliance

- ABA has 60 national member organisations working together to reduce bullying and create safer environments, in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn

- The alliance also has a team of regional advisers who work with local authorities and schools in each of the nine government regions to tackle bullying

- The Young Anti-Bullying Alliance puts children and young people at the heart of anti-bullying policy and practice

- Hundreds of Anti-Bullying Week events will be taking place in schools and local authorities around England to mark Anti-Bullying Week 2008.
