The week is run by the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA), a coalition of more than 60 members that was established in 2002 by NCB and NSPCC. Anti- Bullying Week is an awareness-raising campaign designed to encourage children and young people, schools, local authorities and the wider community to recognise the serious problem of bullying, to accept responsibility and work together to stop it while celebrating the work that children and young people are doing throughout the country to prevent and respond to it.
