NCB Now: Anti-bullying audit toolkit launched

1 min read
Following on from the recent government guidance on whole school approaches, cyberbullying and homophobic bullying, the ABA has launched its Anti-Bullying Audit Toolkit.

The toolkit, the first of its kind, is a response to schools requesting a resource to help them analyse and assess their levels of bullying.

Through its work with schools and local authorities in England, ABA realised that to prevent and tackle bullying, school staff wanted an accurate annual picture of bullying within their school community.

The ABA toolkit was developed by leading anti-bullying practitioners, and the ABA Research Group, headed by Professor Peter Smith of Goldsmith's, University of London.

The anti-bullying toolkit includes questionnaires for children and young people, as well as for staff and parents/carers. The scope of the questions provides schools with a clear picture of bullying, and can be repeated on an annual basis.
