1 min read
The latest issue of The National Youth Agency's case study series Youth Action and Engagement focuses on young people and sport.

Editor Angela Mulvehill said: "a survey conducted by v, the independent, national youth volunteering organisation, last year showed that youngpeople are passionate about sport, with 16- to 25-year-olds ranking itas one of their top three passions."

"Little wonder then that sports volunteering is popular too, with a 2005Russell Commission survey showing that nearly half of all volunteeringby young people is sports volunteering - high given that sportsvolunteering accounts for a quarter of volunteering across all agegroups."
