TUESDAY - Pit prop gone and ceiling still in place but efforts to hold a team meeting in London are nearly as fraught as the building works. Half the team are stranded at Milton Keynes Central.
The half that has made it to London connects by telephone with the Milton Keynes contingent who have established base camp in the station cafe. Our discussion is interrupted by orders for cappuccino and by rare sightings of trains that may or may not be going anywhere. A colleague from another team is also stranded but volunteers for sherpa duties and keeps a lookout for possible transport. Pack mules could be an option. Somehow we get through the business but it's not quite what we planned.
