My Life: Kola Kassim, 14, London

1 min read
I am from Nigeria. I came to this country on 22 December 2004.

It was Alice (a children's case worker at the Refugee Council) who told me about the Children's Panel and I've been coming for a couple of weeks. It's interesting.

I play table tennis and snooker. I have made friends here.

I'm staying with a foster mum. It's okay.

I haven't got a school yet. I sometimes come here for maths or English lessons. I'm looking forward to starting school.

I want to be a surgeon. I like subjects like biology and chemistry. They are easy and I find them interesting.

London is very different from Nigeria - the times I sleep and work, the things I do and the food I eat. In Nigeria, my favourite food was rice.
