My Life: Rosalie*, 16, London

1 min read
I am from Congo and have been here since the end of September. I have been coming here (to the Children's Panel) since Christmas. I like it because you forget about the problems you have and you can talk to people.

It's very difficult being in London, I don't feel at home yet.

I am enjoying school. The teachers are nice. English is my best subject.

I want to be a journalist or an air hostess. I'd also like to be a model because of the way they walk and the clothes they wear.

I've had bad experiences in London, in shops and the streets, and from young people. For example, I was walking down the street with my sister and a White man pushed my sister away. I feel scared, not protected.

I want to finish my studies and get my papers and status sorted out.
