I've completed my Young Apprenticeship in Vehicle Fitting Operations at Torque of the Devil in Uxbridge.

I've never really been hugely interested in school, but when I started working I began to enjoy learning and was determined to gain some good qualifications.

My role consists of preparing the cars for their services, assisting the mechanical team and helping out with general office duties. I now want to work towards being fully qualified.

The environment took some getting used to, as I'd never had a proper job before. Since my placement, I'm much more confident and I now have a passion for different types of cars.

I recently won the Young Apprentice of the Year award at the London Apprenticeship Awards and will be considered for the national finals. I felt I had achieved something special.
