Wild About Play has been set up to try to counteract the trend for restricting children's outdoor play. Working across the South West, the project takes the form of a network of practitioners from a range of disciplines, including play work and environmental education.

The project tries to encourage environmental play, which it defines as opportunities for children to play freely in and around natural and wild environments, as opposed to artificial or indoor play areas.
