Housing is often seen as a missing piece in the puzzle when it comes tothe drive for better children's services. Yet the New Charter HousingTrust's Play Support Worker Project is a good example of how a housingorganisation can make a real difference to children's wellbeing.

The project is based at a housing scheme in Ashton-under-Lyne inManchester, which provides temporary accommodation to homeless families.There may be up to 20 children aged five to 13 living at the scheme atany one time.
