When Oli Barrett tells people about his latest big idea - giving youngpeople 10 to spend on what they like - many scoff.
"At lot of people's reactions have been that the children will squanderit on drugs or sweets," says Barrett, founder of the Make Your Mark WithA Tenner competition.
"If I was giving 10,000 tenners out to OAPs you wouldn't get peoplesaying 'they'll only spend it on cocoa'. It shows up our attitudes tothe young."
In fact, young people across the UK have seized the opportunity tolaunch businesses with students from 118 schools taking part. They canwork on their own or club together.
