Following the success of some recent adventure weekends for fathers and sons, daughters have been demanding to be let in on the action too.

So, this summer, alongside four weekend courses for "dads & lads", the outdoor education centre at High Ashurst in Surrey will be holding two additional weekends for 15 pairs of "dads & daughters".

Girls aged from eight to 16 will take part in the courses with their fathers. The activities are identical to those enjoyed by the boys, and include abseiling, climbing, archery, rope-work, off-road cycling and a basic level confidence course.
