Following a high-profile campaign by hospices and The Sun newspaper,Tony Blair met with sector representatives, which led to theannouncement of fresh cash last week.
However, children's palliative care providers have yet to receiveconfirmation that their services will also continue.
Lizzie Chambers, chief executive of the Association for Children withLife-threatening or Terminal Conditions and their Families, said shehoped to meet Chancellor Gordon Brown to secure funding in the nextGovernment spending review.
Barbara Gelb, chief executive of the Association of Children's Hospices'said the new money would "tide over" the service but added she wouldstill be pushing for funding to be put on a statutory footing.Previously, the sector had relied on a pot of 15m from the NewOpportunities Fund, but this funding came to an end this year.
