The Government gave children's hospice services a three-year cashinjection of 27m this summer after a campaign to save servicesafter Lottery funding ended.
Prior to this, however, hospices only received 2.7 per cent of theirfunding from public money. And the Government has yet to confirm whetherit will also provide money for children's palliative care services.
Lizzie Chambers, chief executive of the Association of Children'sPalliative Care, said that although she hoped the review would lead tolong-term funding, short-term funding for the wider sector was needednow.
The review, alongside separate reviews of services for disabled childrenand children and young people, will feed into the comprehensive spendingreview.
