The conception rate in the Trafford area has dropped by 3.6 per centsince figures for the teenage pregnancy strategy were first collected in1998. However, the rate has fluctuated with 37.3 conceptions per 1,000girls in 2003 and 39.6 in 1999, higher than the baseline rate.
Despite the downwards trend nationally, the level of conceptions inTrafford has remained static overall.
