73.6% take-up of measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in 2003 (81.9 per cent in England)

The take-up of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine is well under the national average and the Government's target of 95 per cent. St Albans and Harpenden Primary Care Trust warns that more cases of the diseases should be expected. Although there were only two confirmed cases of measles in children in the trust during 2002, eight cases were reported in the year to September 2003.
