56.2% of conceptions per 1,000 girls aged under 18 in 2003 leading to abortions (46 per cent in England)

38.6 conceptions per 1,000 girls aged under 18 in 2003 (42.1 in England)

6.7% of infants born weighing less than 2,500 grams in 2002 (7.7 per cent in England)

4.1 infant deaths per 1,000 live births in 2002 (5.2 in England and Wales)

A spokesman from Bromley Primary Care Trust said: "We are committed to reducing teenage pregnancy and schemes are in place to enable young people to take responsibility for their sexual health and to prevent unwanted pregnancies."
