The drop in Lewisham's teenage pregnancy rate since 1998 reflectsnational trends. However, the lowest point in the period was in 2001,when the rate fell to 65.4 before rising again. However, Lewisham isalso closing the gap on the percentage of pregnancies leading toabortions.
