Since figures on the teenage pregnancy strategy were first collected in1998, the conception rate in Harrow has risen by 24 per cent. Thisrepresents 36 more girls conceiving, with figures rising from 105 in1998 to 141 in 2004.
However, at the beginning of the strategy the rate fell, only risingrecently in 2003, from 26.7 conceptions to its current level of31.5.
