Since figures on the teenage pregnancy strategy were first collected in1998, the conception rate in Walsall has dropped by 27.5 per cent. Thisrepresents 75 fewer girls conceiving, with figures falling from 326 in1998 to 251 in 2004. Initiatives include the relocation of sexual healthoutreach services for young men from the health authority building to ayoung people's centre in town.
