Since figures for the teenage pregnancy strategy were first collected in1998, the number of teen conceptions per year has fallen by 33. In 1998,184 girls fell pregnant, but in 2005 this number fell to 151. Knowsley'sunder 18 conception rate fell by five per cent between 1996 to 1998 and1999 to 2001. However, since 1998 to 2001, the rate has fallen by nearly20 per cent.
