What's involved? The children are taken through a number of breathing exercises and stretches, involving a great deal of co-ordination, usually accompanied by some games and visualisation techniques.
What are the benefits? Staff say it has improved the children's concentration and co-ordination, helping them to learn how to relax. It has also helped them build up their muscles and improve their spatial awareness. The children have learned to help each other too, as they often need support when attempting some of the moves. The staff enjoy teaching the classes. Despite the training course taking place on a Saturday, it is something they can take with them and use in future jobs.
