How? Health and nutrition is explored in a number of ways. Activities include role-plays based on cafes and kitchens where the food on offer is discussed, and numeracy sessions in which the children learn about measuring ingredients. They also plant and grow herbs to gain an understanding of where their food comes from. The topic is even touched upon in music and movement sessions.
What's an example of that? One session takes place after children have been baking. They all hold a parachute and mix "ingredients" (different sized balls) together in the centre of the parachute to the sound of a musical beat.
