How do they do this? They make sure that what the children are eating is home-made and non-processed. For instance, mango chicken and rice instead of chicken nuggets and chips.
What is the children's favourite meal? Staff say it is chickpea korma. The nursery claims it does not have any fussy eaters.
What are some other classic Blue Grass dishes? Beef stew; macaroni cheese, bacon and green beans; and lentil and bacon soup. The nursery also reflects the activities the children do in the food served. For example, a recent pantomime project warranted a Jack and the Beanstalk crunchy risotto containing green beans. It is also not uncommon for the children to eat dishes from the different cultures they are being taught about.
