TimeBank, the national volunteering charity, has launched a grants programme to fund projects that bring together 14- to 25-year-olds of two or more faiths on volunteering projects.
It is the second round of TimeBank's "respect" grants programme that launched last year. Ten organisations, such as an interfaith poetry and song competition in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, received 1,000 awards in the first round.
Caroline Speculand, communications and information officer at TimeBank, said projects that cut across denominations as well as religions would be considered.
"The quality of the applications in promoting tolerance is the main thing we're looking for," she added.
