The National Youth Agency: Different faiths contribute to newguide

1 min read

The guide features ideas on inter-faith events and projects and includes stories from young people around the UK. Representatives of the Baha'i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Muslim, Sikh and Zoroastrian communities in the UK were involved in putting the guide together.

Bhupinder Singh, of The Inter Faith Network, said: "In the 2001 census, 77 per cent of respondents marked that they belonged to a religion. Religion remains of major significance in the lives of many people in the UK today and how well people of different faiths co-exist is of growing importance here as around the world."

The NYA has sent copies of the guide to youth service organisations throughout England. Limited further copies for distribution to young people are available free on request. Email: andyh@nya.org.uk.
