The network is creating the framework, which will be used by 260 volunteering organisations, as part of a £360,000 partnership with volunteering charity v.
The two-year partnership, funded by v, will help implement the network's Reach framework, which improves volunteering projects with young people using a programme of self-assessment and training. Reach covers issues including safety, youth participation and community benefit. The partnership with v will continue until March 2010.
The organisations involved - some of which are former Millennium Volunteer projects - will receive a copy of the framework, log-in details for the Reach website, and allocated by a development officer from the Youth Action Network.
