Education
Last year I was surprised but delighted to win Film Education's Young Film Critic Of The Year Competition, which runs as part of National Schools Film Week. I took home a Yamaha Home Theatre Entertainment System plus a selection of DVDs, while my college received an interactive Smart Board and a host of teaching resources.

Iwas excited to be interviewed for Radio 4's Front Row on the day, and sincethen I have written pieces for various publications. I think the highlight of my year was having the privilege of speaking at Bafta's headquarters at the launchof this year's National Schools Film Week, and I'm looking forward to recording soundbites about this year's awards for broadcast on local radio stations.

The competition has encouraged me to watch a much broader range of films and I definitely believe the competition is a great opportunity to get young people thinking about the films we watch.
