I've spent the last year volunteering with youth charity v on its v20 youth advisory board.

With all the award ceremonies, travelling and wonderful friends I've made, the past year hardly seems like I was volunteering at all. As a member of v20 it's hard not to have fun, especially when you have 19 energetic colleagues. There have been some daunting times, such as delivering presentations to young people and politicians, but when I look back I'm really proud of how much we've achieved through this opportunity. Activities such as the launch of vinvolved, which will provide 500,000 new volunteering opportunities, and vcashpoint, where young people can apply for up to £2,500 to run their own volunteering projects in their local communities, have been amazing to work on.
