
I didn't listen and ended up at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). When my exam results came, I threw them in the bin without even opening them.
I really grew up at the PRU though and ended up looking after younger kids. I also went to Fairbridge where I did loads of outdoor activities like mountain biking and met up with Brian, a youth worker who was on my level.
Now I want to be a youth worker, just like him. I'm learning some seriously good skills at Rathbone in Walkden and improving my literacy and numeracy.
I look after my cousin who is deaf and have a real warmth towards young people. Now I want to persuade other kids that the advice I got when I was young was right.
