
They seemed to have a lot of fun and be really enthusiastic about the organisation. The young speakers inspired me to get involved and one of my tutors, who runs We Are What We Do in our college, told us about how beneficial becoming a young speaker would be.
I was already interested in environmental issues and improving society, so the actions and aims of We Are What We Do really appealed to me. I was also interested in developing my presentation skills and my confidence.
The confidence and presentation skills I gained as a young speaker have been invaluable in my college course. With English-based subjects I have been required to make several presentations, which have been vastly improved by the training I received.
