Connexions: Lifelong Learning in career staff review

LLUK is looking at the feasibility of including career guidance professionals in its remit. This would include Connexions staff, who are currently represented by the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC).

Jane Haywood, chief executive of CWDC, opposes the move, and it is also likely to be resisted by members of the National Association of Connexions Partners.

An LLUK spokeswoman said: "We will be reviewing how these employers currently have their workforce development needs met. The decision on whether LLUK will extend its footprint now rests with our council."
