I started off using the NSPCC Young People's Centre when I was younger, as there wasn't really anywhere to go in Warrington.

At that time, my life was a bit chaotic - I had issues with homelessness, relationships and some substance misuse. As time went by, I built relationships with the social work staff and began to find answers and a purpose to my life.

As I got older, I got more involved with the courses and volunteering opportunities on offer. When I used the centre, my peers were my role models and I wanted to be seen as a role model too. I have now been volunteering for five years and have achieved so much for myself. I am currently involved with VTalent, where I gain experience by working at a different placement each day. I still regularly volunteer at the NSPCC Young People's Centre and I am half-way through my higher education Sports Leaders Award and Basic Expedition Leadership Award Course.
